By combining the IT expertise of its brand comTeam with the know-how and product portfolio of Terra Robotics, ElectronicPartner's headquarters is opening up an attractive new business opportunity for all affiliated specialist retailers while also appealing to prospective member companies.
The initial focus is on service and marketing robots that support businesses with everyday tasks while delivering measurable economic benefits. Whether in cleaning services, retail, hospitality, healthcare or office buildings, robotics is increasingly becoming a sound business investment. In many application areas, the return on investment can already be clearly demonstrated today through lower personnel and operating costs as well as more efficient workflows.
In doing so, ElectronicPartner is deliberately building on the strengths of local entrepreneurship. Its member companies are firmly rooted in their regions, maintain strong local networks, and possess the consulting expertise needed to recommend tailored robotics solutions and provide long-term support. This creates a new business segment that builds on established customer relationships while opening the door to new target groups.
"What began as an idea just a few months ago has developed into a cross-border robotics initiative within ElectronicPartner. Together, we have laid the foundation for a comprehensive sales and service network in a very short period of time. Our goal is not only to make robotics available but also to establish it successfully in the market over the long term through expert consulting, service, IT expertise and strong local presence," says Matthias Assmann, Member of the Executive Board of ElectronicPartner. He adds: "Our national organization in the Netherlands is also ready to get started and will soon enter the robotics business. At that point, our entire organization will be on board."
The robotics initiative is based on close collaboration between the companies within the ElectronicPartner Group. Terra Robotics provides the technology, products and technical expertise. Building on this foundation, the technology network comTeam develops professional B2B solutions and contributes its expertise in IT infrastructure, software and systems integration. EP: specialist retailers leverage their regional networks and consulting capabilities, while MEDIMAX, with its large-format stores, offers ideal opportunities to showcase robotics solutions in a hands-on environment. Members of WENDEpunkt, the group's brand specializing in renewable energy solutions, also benefit from the new products and marketing concepts.
"Robotics represents an attractive new business area with significant growth potential for comTeam partners. Particularly in the B2B environment, there are numerous applications where IT and AI expertise, software know-how, systems integration and service are critical success factors. At the same time, closer collaboration with ElectronicPartner's other business divisions is creating outstanding new synergies across the group," says Sven Glatter, Managing Director of comTeam.
Implementation in Germany is already well underway. Over the past few weeks, the first webinars have been held, attracting more than 100 participants in total. At the same time, ElectronicPartner is developing a comprehensive training program that will be launched in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, comTeam and Terra Robotics are planning a roadshow for members of the technology network. The program will focus on product demonstrations, training sessions, and practical application scenarios and business concepts for the B2B market.
"Our goal is not simply to sell robots but to support companies in successfully introducing and integrating robotics into their operations. As a solution provider, transformation partner and systems integrator, we work with our customers to develop tailored robotics solutions—from initial consulting and implementation through to service and ongoing operation. ElectronicPartner perfectly complements this approach with its strong regional presence, outstanding service expertise and powerful network of specialist retailers and comTeam partners. Together, we want to make robotics more accessible for businesses and drive the sustainable development of the market," says Murat Arpaci, Managing Director of Terra Robotics.
