“Innovation with imagination” – comTeam celebrates 40 years with a successful anniversary partner conference 2024

The technology network comTeam celebrated its 40th anniversary on October 7 and 8 with an impressive partner conference at Phantasialand in Brühl. “40 years of comTeam, success and harmony, strong together – innovation with imagination” – this was not only the event’s motto but also the theme of a specially composed song created by AI for the occasion! The focus of the event was on reflecting on four decades of company history, successful networking, and presenting new IT solutions and business models.

The event began on October 7 with a gala evening at “STOCK’s.” comTeam Managing Director Sven Glatter welcomed long-standing partners, special guests, and loyal companions to the venue and opened the evening together with Silvia Habeck, Head of Partner Management, with an emotional speech about the history and development of the technology network. He also highlighted the strong sense of unity shared by comTeam employees, partner companies, and industry representatives. ElectronicPartner board members Karl Trautmann and Matthias Assmann also attended in person to offer their congratulations and shared their own personal “comTeam moments” from recent years on stage. “comTeam’s strength lies in always staying ahead of the wave,” emphasized Karl Trautmann.

Other highlights of the evening included honoring particularly long-standing comTeam partners and announcing the new comTeam advisory board, which will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction and future development of the technology network. The new advisory board consists of experienced members Markus Klaes (Klaes GmbH & Co. KG), Heiko Lendeckel (Lendeckel IT GmbH & Co. KG), and Verena Müller-Thiel (C&P Capeletti & Perl GmbH), along with new additions Christian Nolte (ELSNER Datensysteme GmbH) and Bernd Ramgeus (dassys GmbH).

While the first evening was all about the many stories that guests associate with the technology network, the following day focused on the future. Starting at 10 a.m., partners were welcomed to a comprehensive program in the “Quantum” hall featuring expert talks and informal discussion rounds. Specialists in IT security, cloud solutions, software services, and infrastructure presented the latest developments and shared valuable insights into current industry trends.

IT solutions, expert talks, and business networking in focus

“One of comTeam’s key strengths is identifying challenges early – whether they’ll affect our industry in a month or a year. We constantly see smaller companies, in particular, struggling in the ‘shark tank’ of system integrators, especially when it comes to MSP and IT management,” says Sven Glatter. Together with Partner Manager Jörn Beckmann, he presented one of comTeam’s innovative solutions to this challenge: the comTeam MSP Manager. This tool is specifically designed for companies operating as Managed Service Providers (MSPs). “The special feature is the integrated billing function, which allows invoices to be created and processed directly within the tool. This opens up new opportunities for medium-sized companies to work efficiently and profitably,” he explains.

Another innovation presented in detail at the partner conference was the Campus White Label Platform – a solution that enables comTeam partners to offer the comTeach Campus to their customers under their own brand and name. A wide range of comTeam training courses is available to them, and their own offerings can also be integrated. Additionally, the technology network team handles the processing – a true Business Process as a Service. This concept is designed to engage partners as multipliers who integrate the campus into their websites and offer a personalized learning environment. “This white-label solution creates a unique opportunity for market differentiation and provides our partner companies with clear added value,” emphasizes Luciana Kuhlemann, Head of Campus & Digital Agency. She adds, “Training is often underestimated, but it’s not only essential for IT system houses – it can also be a significant driver of revenue!”

After the expert talks, it was time for fun: participants had the chance to explore Phantasialand during a guided park tour. In a relaxed atmosphere, comTeam partners enjoyed rides and attractions while networking. The grand finale was the evening celebration in the unique indoor event location “Wuze Town.” In a magical setting with roller coasters and spectacular light effects, everyone rounded off the evening with a shared party.

The anniversary partner conference offered space for exchange and knowledge transfer in true comTeam style. The network will continue to focus on strong partnerships and innovative business models in the future. “We’ve had some truly insightful days – with lots of input, exciting impressions, and fresh ideas,” says Sven Glatter. He adds, “Once again, we were able to demonstrate the cohesion, community, and innovative strength of the comTeam network, and we are thrilled with the success of our partner conference in this anniversary year.”
