A strong signal for local retail: EP:Schneider opens newly built specialist store

The EP:brand continues to grow – driven by dedicated specialist retailers who stand for expertise, service, and customer proximity in their local communities. A recent example: Just two years after entering the local electronics retail market, Heinz Schneider decided to expand and build a brand-new store.

On 15 May 2025 EP:Schneider celebrated the grand opening of its new store in Furth im Wald, Bavaria. With this move, another member of the ElectronicPartner group sends a clear message about the strength and relevance of local specialist retail.

“Examples like this show how important brick-and-mortar retail with genuine advice and quality service remains – even in an increasingly digital consumer landscape,” emphasised Friedrich Sobol at the opening. The ElectronicPartner board member travelled over 600 kilometres from Düsseldorf and was visibly impressed by the entrepreneurial success of one of EP:’s newest members: “To expand on this scale after such a short time is a new record for EP:special retailers – truly impressive!”

EP:Schneider first opened its doors in Furth im Wald in November 2022. The consistently positive development and growing customer demand laid the foundation for this next step. “We deliberately chose to stay in Furth im Wald because we’re deeply rooted here. The response to our first store was overwhelming – and the need for quality specialist retail has only grown.”

The new store is centrally located and offers a spacious retail area featuring a comprehensive range of household and consumer electronics, IT, multimedia, and telecommunications. In addition, the 14-member team provides extensive services – from delivery and installation to proper disposal of old appliances and personalised in-store consultations. A dedicated workshop is already in the planning stage, reinforcing the commitment to sustainable electronics use and ensuring reliable support for repairs and maintenance even after purchase.

The opening celebrations on 15 and 16 May featured a varied programme that attracted numerous guests, business partners, and visitors from the region. Alongside Friedrich Sobol, other representatives from the ElectronicPartner headquarters were present, including Head of Sales Torsten Schimkowiak, Christian Peil (Head of Sales Cooperation Germany), and Regional Manager Michael Banduhn.

With the new store, Heinz Schneider not only reaffirms his confidence in a successful future as a local entrepreneur but also underscores his belief in the relevance of brick-and-mortar retail and in the strength of his cooperative group. The project aligns perfectly with ElectronicPartner’s strategic direction: strong entrepreneurial personalities, tailored services, and a robust brand portfolio.
