EP: continues to assert itself
Specialist retailers operating under the EP:brand achieved a like‑for‑like sales increase of 1.4 per cent in 2025 compared to the previous year. At the same time, the brand outperformed the comparable market according to GfK figures, exceeding the average by 0.6 percentage points. Over the course of the year, there were 38 new entries into the buying group: 13 specialist retailers joined the EP:brand, 21 additional businesses became members as ServicePartners and a further four joined as independently profiled companies. Ten of these new members switched from other cooperations, and in 13 cases an existing location was successfully taken over.
MEDIMAX – challenges, potential, transformation
The generally negative developments in large-format retail also impacted the MEDIMAX specialist store line in 2025, which recorded a sales decline of 6.6 per cent compared to the previous year. “Large retails spaces are under significant pressure and only have a future if they evolve more towards specialist retail,” says Patrick van Tent. “Our MEDIMAX franchise partners are on the right track, and we support them through the transformation phase with the necessary tools to expand their expertise and service offering,” he adds.
comTeam in the fast lane
“Our third core brand, the technology network comTeam, once again delivered excellent results in 2025: with a revenue increase of 18.5 per cent compared to the previous year, as well as a significant rise in earnings,” explains Matthias Assmann, the ElectronicPartner board member responsible for comTeam. Key drivers of this very positive development included, among other factors, the phase-out of Windows 10 and the continued boom in artificial intelligence.
WENDEpunkt continues to grow
The WENDEpunkt brand, focused on sustainable energy solutions, significantly strengthened its market position over the past year and consistently expanded its range of services. In Germany, 141 ElectronicPartner members are now operating as full-service providers for renewable energy. In addition to photovoltaics, heating solutions, air conditioning systems and home energy management systems, the portfolio now also includes PV fences and PV patio roofs. The onboarding of new members for ElectronicPartner has also continued to gain momentum, as Matthias Assmann reports: “Our successful participation at the SustainableSolutions trade fair in Düsseldorf led to 17 specialist businesses from the renewable energy sector joining the group.” WENDEpunkt is also continuing its growth internationally: in Austria, 52 ElectronicPartner member companies were integrated into the concept and now offer PV installations nationwide. Particularly encouraging is the fact that three external entrepreneurs have already decided to collaborate with ElectronicPartner due to the wide range of solutions. In Switzerland, the market launch has taken place, and the first companies have shown concrete interest. A detailed presentation will follow at Home ’26 in April in Zurich.
ElectronicPartner – a strong future together
The strategic realignment initiated at the beginning of the year is progressing steadily. “We are currently establishing new structures and processes. Patrick van Tent is also driving significant developments. We are working on forward‑looking concepts and thinking beyond the conventional to become more efficient and effective,” explains Greta Ziob, also a member of the ElectronicPartner board.
Matthias Assmann adds: “We are shaping our buying group into an organisation that truly embodies its name, both at headquarters and among our member companies. Greater interaction and collaboration are essential, because transformation starts with people. We want to inspire and guide them through a new, professional way of working together and a future‑oriented mindset. We will communicate this message to our members at our congress and will begin working on it together with immediate effect.”
