Two MEDIMAX stores in Chemnitz
On 24 April 2025, Axel Mertinkat opened a new electronics store in the ERMAFA-Passage in Chemnitz. This marks his second MEDIMAX branch in the city, offering high-quality products across 600 square metres of gross floor space. The range includes household and consumer electronics, IT, multimedia, smart home, and telecommunications. “This store perfectly complements the retail mix in the ERMAFA-Passage,” says Axel Mertinkat. With the new city-centre location and the existing branch in the Vita-Center, MEDIMAX ensures comprehensive coverage for Chemnitz residents, providing premium electronics alongside expert advice and service. Thanks to its central location and well-thought-out store concept on the ground floor of the passage, customers can easily discover, compare, and take home the latest tech. Axel Mertinkat is deliberately focusing on local, accessible retail.
New kitchen world at MEDIMAX Aschersleben
There’s also good news from Saxony-Anhalt: On 19 April 2025, Holger Lentge, owner of MEDIMAX Aschersleben, unveiled his renovated store, introducing a new floor concept in cooperation with the MHK Group. The sales area now spans 1,250 square metres, with around 150 square metres dedicated to the newly integrated kitchen world. The store features seven show kitchens and a utility room. “Two of our kitchens have been built to the exact dimensions commonly found in rental flats in Aschersleben and the surrounding area. This shows we understand what matters to people here – their needs, their budgets, and the space available to them,” explains Lentge. Customers can explore various styles and functionalities, and compare materials directly – whether they’re furnishing a home or a rental property.
