EP:special retailers ranked first in Handelsblatt survey

For the fifth time, EP:specialist retailers have claimed the top spot in the Handelsblatt ranking “Best Customer Advice”. And this year, they’ve also received the “Best Customer Service” award from the SZ Institute.

For the ElectronicPartner group, whose core brands include EP:, this is further confirmation: “Even in an age of pure players and direct-to-consumer sales, specialist retail continues to hold an irreplaceable place in our society – and can be highly successful when expertise, outstanding service, and entrepreneurial passion come together,” says board member Friedrich Sobol.

Both surveys were conducted in cooperation with the research institute ServiceValue. The Handelsblatt evaluation included 35,768 customer ratings from 14,174 respondents, covering 712 companies across 36 sectors. The SZ Institute survey incorporated over 84,000 individual assessments, spanning 676 companies in 35 industries.

“There are many surveys and associated ‘quality seals’ these days – and we receive them regularly. But these awards from one of Germany’s leading business media outlets and the SZ Institute, which operates as a think tank for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, a true quality publication, are a particularly meaningful endorsement of our work – and especially of the work done by over 300 EP:members across Germany,” Sobol emphasises.

“EP:simply more personal” – that’s the motto of these special retailers, and they prove daily that it’s more than just a slogan. The EP:brand boasts a success story spanning over 50 years. In 2013, ElectronicPartner launched a major quality initiative that significantly raised standards – and according to Sobol, that momentum continues: “Our EP:members are benefiting today from the strategic decisions we made back then and continue to refine: from a high-quality marketing concept, including attractive store design, to a wide range of tools for enhancing their brand presence.” All of this is part of an ongoing process: “Society is changing, customer expectations are evolving, and we at headquarters are continuously improving our support for members.”

Recent innovations include the introduction of new product categories such as photovoltaic systems and heat pumps, as well as proactive responses to the shortage of skilled workers and succession planning through the Become a Partner and ElectronicFamily campaigns.
